Henley’s Silver Lake Resort is located just 6 miles from the lovely town of Eatonville, Washington. Silver Lake is based at the foot of Mt. Rainier, about 20 miles to the west. It is a small spring-fed lake, nestled in the wetlands of Pierce County.
Henley’s is part of the Washington State Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Project. We raise and feed approximately 30,000 rainbows in pens throughout the winter. They are released into Silver Lake in early April, when they have reached over 6 inches in length. Fishing Season at Silver Lake opens the 4th Saturday in April and runs until late October.
Silver Lake hosts a variety of fish. In addition to rainbow trout, we have large mouth bass, perch, crappies, catfish, and blue gill. Until recently, German Browns were also stocked. Although they are no longer stocked, there are still the holdovers, as witnessed by the local fisherman.
